• No trucks will be allowed on Camino Pablo before 9AM.
• Enhanced traffic signage to prioritize pedestrian and cyclist safety.
• Temporary speed radar feedback sign on Camino Pablo
• Covered trucks to minimize dust.
• No lane closures or parking on local streets by project trucks

For more details and updates on the project, visit https://www.EBMUD.com/brionesoffhaul.

Wipes block EBMUD Sewer Upgrades

EBMUD Public Affairs from East Bay Municipal Utility District · 17 Apr

EBMUD is upgrading a vital wastewater pump station that serves Bay Farm Island in Alameda at Packet Landing Road and Robert Davey Jr. Drive. EBMUD is nearing completion of the sewage pump station upgrade, but we need your help. Wipes are clogging EBMUD’s wastewater equipment, causing project delays and prolonging construction in the neighborhood.

When wipes pile up in the wastewater system, they clog EBMUD’s equipment, requiring intensive clean up. Please help EBMUD by only flushing the 3 P’s: Poop, Pee, Toilet Paper. Flushed wipes will eventually form a barrier in pipes which will stop a toilet from flushing. This could result in sewage back-ups into your home and costly repairs.

Other products including diapers, menstrual products, and paper towels do not break down in the system, even the wipes labeled "Flushable". Please put wipes and other products in the trash. Watch this video to learn how wipes and other products make it harder to protect the San Francsico Bay. Link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VhzCreAc...

This improvement project will upgrade a 40-year-old pump station and will ensure smooth sewer operations for years to come. Please help us get the job done.

QUESTIONS: Contact Community Affairs at 510-287-0140 or construction-wastewater@ebmud.com.

PUMP STATION M, ALAMEDA

EBMUD Public Affairs from East Bay Municipal Utility District · 29 Mar

PROJECT INFORMATION AND UPDATE
EBMUD is upgrading an underground wastewater pump station that services Bay Farm Island in Alameda. The pump station is over 40 years old, and much of the equipment is nearing the end of its useful life. This work will protect public health and the environment and will ensure smooth sewer operations for years to come.

DO NOT FLUSH WIPES DOWN THE TOILET
EBMUD is close to completing the sewage pump station (Pump Station M) at the corner of Packet Landing Road and Robert Davey Junior Drive. The construction crew is having a persistent issue that has caused delays for the project and continues to cause delays as we seek to complete it and that is the use of wipes by residents flushing these down their toilets. EBMUD sent notices a few months ago about not flushing wipes and the use decreased for a while, but we are seeing an increase in wipes being flushed down the toilet. These end up in the sewer system. Crews have to stop work to clean wipes and other debris that should be put in the trash and not the toilet. Please help us complete this project by not flushing anything other than the 3 P's down the toilet: Poop, Pee, Toilet Paper. Remember that wipes can clog your toilet and/or create sewage backups into your home or your neighborhood. Wipes and other debris should never be flushed down the toilet, it should be put in the trash.

As EBMUD upgrades the wastewater system in your community we ask that you DO NOT FLUSH wipes down the toilet. Only three things should be flushed down your toilet: Pee, Poop, and Toilet Paper. All other products including wipes, diapers, feminine hygiene products, and pharmaceuticals do not break down in the system, even the ones labeled "Flushable". Flushed wipes will eventually gather in your pipes and create a barrier which will stop your toilet from flushing correctly, potentially resulting in sewage backing up into your home through your toilet. Please put wipes you use in the trash and not the toilet. Blocked private sewer laterals (the sewage pipe in your home that conveys the water you use in your home to the sewer system) will result in your pipes not draining well causing sewer system damage and can result in costly repairs to your home or apartment unit as well. Help maintain a proper working sewer line for the community and your homes. We are seeing a large number of wipes again in the sewer system which is causing more delays and is causing construction impacts to the neighborhood. Thank for your understanding and cooperation.

EBMUD is investing in a sustainable future, we are
more than tripling our solar energy production capacity with three new photovoltaic installations. The largest, below Briones Reservoir in Orinda,
will generate approximately 10 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of clean, renewable electricity a year – offsetting nearly 11 percent of EBMUD’s
total electric load. Read more here https://ow.ly/nQ4v50R2xLi
